Pin Grading Policy
Every artist has their own style of grading for enamel pin quality. Here's a guide to what my policy is regarding grading pins to help you understand what kind of pin you will get from me based on the listed grade.

I look at pins in either sunlight or a full spectrum light from about a 10" (25cm) distance.

A Grade (best quality)
- very minor enamel over or underfill
- light scuffing or texture on the metal front or sides (common for hard enamel pins due to polishing)
- side or back plating imperfections no larger than 2mm
- areas of enamel inconsistency (scuffing, light marks, color shift or similar) no larger than 1mm
B Grade (seconds, usually sold at a discount)
- front plating imperfections
- side or back plating imperfections larger than 2mm
- areas of enamel inconsistency (scuffing, light marks, color shift or similar) larger than 1mm
- one area of noticeably under or overfilled enamel

C Grade
I don't sell C grade pins - they would have major defects such as a large damaged area, enamel the wrong color or missing, many areas under or over filled, loose posts.
